Almost six kilometres long, the beach of Is Arenas is one of the longest  in the Oristano province. It’s name refers to the presence of large dunes, the largest in Sardinia. This small desert, unique in Europe, has been the subject of plenty of reforestation with pines and acacien especially in the early decades of the twentieth century, so that the completely bare dunes are still rare. has a sandy  yellow/red with golden hues, medium large,due to the presence of pebbles and shells on the shore above.
